PostHeaderIcon My Top picked Emerging Influential Blogs!

Been wondering if I will or I will not join this voting stuff online, but just in the knick of time I’ve finally decided to join in the top 10 emerging influential blogs. ^_^

I chose these blogs in connection with my personal preference. So, here it goes:

I often asked, is it talagang Bongga ba?! ‘Cause I seldom uses this short and sweet phrase. But this blog is truly wala ng paligoy-ligoy pa theme! Bongga siya talaga promise! Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon Don’t Tell My Mother I’m in Manila!

French-American foreign war correspondent Diego Luis Buñuel never wanted his mother to get nervous knowing where his assignment would be so he always told his production crew in their Paris office, “Don’t tell my mother.” Thankfully, his colleagues always heeded his requests.

Since 2001, Diego has covered the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the US intervention in Afghanistan. In 2003, he was embedded with the US Marine Corps in Baghdad and had reported on the Second Congo War, the 2004 tsunami in Indonesia, and Yasser Arafat’s funeral.

But after a few years of covering conflicts, Diego realized that most global news headlines just focused on the worst events in these countries. No one was telling the story about the interesting people and culture in these places. So Diego went on a mission in search of fascinating people and their remarkable stories in some of the most dangerous places on earth and the National Geographic Channel series Don’t Tell My Mother was born.

In 2006, Diego began shooting episodes for the first season of Don’t Tell My Mother where he offered a new look on rarely traveled areas affected by conflicts such as Afghanistan, Colombia, North Korea, Congo, Venezuela, Israel, Iran, Iraq, the Balkans, and Pakistan. Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon I want a home theater!

I don’t know if it’s a good point of view pushing someone to work hard so they would be able to get the things they desire in life, but in one way or another, I still believe it’s a good persuasion.

For the last 3 to 4 years of working on a typical office, I bought myself a personal computer, a Polaroid camera, and because I’m a music enthusiast for life, I bought a small personal amplifier (with built in radio), mp3 (with video), but still I want some more! Read the rest of this entry »

PostHeaderIcon Home on a weekend? Bring out the popcorn!

Stuck at home on a weekend? Lounging at home need not be as boring or wearisome as it sounds.
