Mekinudols Welcome 2010 – Year of the Tiger!
Greetings from Mekinudols Atbp.
The Magic of KSA by Gladys Reyes.
From Main Ingredients – Calamansi and other Active ingredients like carrot, cucumber, seaweeds and a product of Glowcal Manufacturing Corporation.
It all began with a necessity that became a dream… the dream of having a flawless and fair complexion.
Recently KSA Magic fêted their Anniversary/ Christmas party at once. Along with KSA team, family, and friends and yes also the bloggers. I should be so lucky to share moments of talk regarding KSA inventions from the actress, host, and KSA Magic endorser, Gladys Reyes.
I remember she told us an anecdote when she entered the entertainment industry.
Gladys mom use to help her out to maintain her flawless skin, using a calamansi fruit for exfoliation. However, when she learned about KSA products, she even tested it prior of giving birth to her first child and end up using it up to the present.
In Gladys recommendation – KSA products in an obvious manner are very safe to skin. It does not contain harmful ingredients like hydroquinone, mercury, steroids, and animal fat. It does not contain HYDROQUINON, MERCURY, and other harmful ingredients which causes skin cancer.
Now, the KSA Magic Skin Care (System) is fast becoming the number one brand of choice and at present available in leading drugstores, supermarkets, and convenient stores.
This was only the start…
KSA Magic products will speak for itself.
BE INVOLVED AND TRY IT… BE AMAZED AND REJUVENATED… BE A TESTIMONY OF BEAUTY!!!
Nobody, Nobody but Juan Premiere Night.
I am so pleased that I have been invited as it happened to be my first time to watch a Red Carpet Premiere. What’s more is that, it was a Tagalog movie. It felt so good patronizing such fine Filipino film, specifically in the company of celebrities like comedy king Dolphy, Ms. Gloria Romero, Eddie Garcia, Eugene Domingo, Pokwang, G Tongi, Heart Evangelista, Quizon brothers Eric, Epi, Vandolph and all that.
I covered to witness the night alive with guest celebrities such as Leo Martinez, Justine, and Suzuki of the Survivor Philippines Palau, Quizon Family, Keanna Reeves and comedy king’s partner Ms. Zsa-Zsa Padilla and some more, to obviously support tito Dolphy and certainly the entire cast of the movie Nobody, Nobody but Juan.
I can say that the film has tons to offer from hardcore comedy to modest drama and a few twists from the 1940’s era up to the present. And for the most essential grounds, the moral of the story.
Surely I say it begins with quiet amusement and ends with burst of laughter. So accordingly, expect the unexpected. Okay. Alright.
(Nobody Nobody but Juan Presscon)
Here I shout from the rooftop and suggest you to watch Nobody, Nobody but Juan on December 25. This is an entry for upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival 2009.

NBC brings you – The Sing-Off.
Yet again the world has just stopped as anew reality TV singing competition hits humankind.
*
NBC make public of their latest singing competition, “The Sing-Off” last Monday, December 14. Hosted by Nick Lachey (past member, 98 Degrees) along with The Sing-Off critics Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men and Ben Folds (a portion left of Ben Folds Five), plus ex-PCD Nicole Scherzinger.
**
The Sing-Off is a show for the amateur a cappella groups with their own rendition of pop songs with no lip-synch or the least bit devices, as well as back-up bands.
The a cappella group winner will have a record deal with Sony Music. Ahh… That is so sweet! Christmas reward for the winner, e?
***
Similar to teen oriented TV show Glee, the fast approach of The Sing-Off show digs up the interests of thousand groups to enter into the contest. Thus, only 8 a cappella groups will show off their flairs on stage.
Contenders made of: Beelzebubs (active) Massachusets, Maxx Factor (active) Maryland, Solo (eliminated) Nebraska, Voices of Lee (active) Tennessee, The Socals (active) California, Byu Noteworthy (eliminated) Utah, Nota (active) Puerto Rico, Face (eliminated) Colorado.
Gaze at and bid to 8 a cappella groups in The Sing-Off, Mon-Wed, 8pm on NBC and the climax on December 21st.
Enjoy the Season 1
Nobody, Nobody but Juan: RVQ/Kaizz’s Entry for Metro Manila Film Festival(MMFF).
An all-star cast film consists of Quizon brothers Epy and Vandolph with special participation of the Director himself Mr. Eric Quizon. Combine with lovely G Tongi and Heart Evangelista.
The movie also features the newest comedians of time; Mar Lopez, Bearwin Meily, Pokwang and Eugene Domingo. “Wowowee” host Willie Revillame plays a special guest role as himself, while a gang of other comedians also join the fun: Andoy Ranay, Ricci Chan, Long Mejia, Brod Pete and many, many more.
From the biggest names in local pictures, commencing Sampaguita Pictures actors “Manang Biday” of Big Screen the stunning Ms. Gloria Romero, Director Eddie “Manoy” Garcia and yes, the Comedy King, Dolphy.
(Dolphy, Gloria Romero & Eddie Garcia)
…Juan is definitely one of RVQ/Kaizz’s biggest offerings for the MMFF in terms of cast, story, scope and production values. Sets’ depicting war-torn Manila was recreated, as well as vaudeville shows of the 1940s. The film was shot in Chicago and Metro Manila.
“Nobody, Nobody but Juan” talks about the heartaches and joys of senior citizens as embodied

by Juan (played by Dolphy). In addition to the idea, depicting the role of Juan (specifically refers to a Filipino or Pinoy), falls out to be “No. 1” in whatever thing that every Juan does, and the Asian famous song Nobody by Wonder Girls, says the Director (Eric).
“Excited na excited ako para sa proyektong ito!” Dolphy exclaims. The Comedy King is so enthusiastic about it that he spent a lot of time collaborating on the script with son Eric who is also the director of the film, and writer Bibeth Orteza. On the set, Dolphy’s flair for comedy came to fore with witty one-liners, punch lines, jokes and gags that he would think of on the spot. “Every shooting day was a surprise,” Eric reveals. “We didn’t know what Daddy would think of next.”
Thus, every scene is memorable and pure Dolphy genius. From gyrating in a diaper ala Chorus Line (to the tune of Lito Camo’s “Giling-Giling”) to mimicking the Nobody, Nobody dance step and trading barbs with Eddie Garcia, then pouring his heart out in Juan’s homecoming scene — Dolphy completely and absolutely amazes.
Like in the film “Slumdog Millionaire”, “Nobody, Nobody but Juan” includes a game show which is “Wowowee,” a favorite entertainment show of many Filipinos and most senior citizens in movie and in real life according to Eric.
On the later part of the movie Dolphy joins the ASF Dancers for an upbeat production number. The soundtrack features many of the “Wowowee’s” songs like “Giling-Giling,” “Hep, Hep, Hurray” and many more.
Juan misses the company of loved ones in the Philippines; he wonders what had happened to his friends Turibio (Eddie Garcia), Lolay (Pokwang), and most especially Aida (Gloria Romero) his sweetheart. Before the war, the four were stage performers. When Manila was attacked they fled to different places. Juan eventually transferred to the U.S., and never saw his friends again.
Pokwang is the personal choice of Dolphy to complete the cast of Nobody Nobody but Juan.
In the movie, Juan have two sons, one is John, a businessman (played by co-producer Joe Aldeguer of Joe Aldeguer Productions), is too busy to even have a meal with Juan. Mario (Eric) who happens to run a nursing home in Chicago where Juan lives; Allana (G Tongi), Mario’s wife who is forever at odds with him, prefers to be strict with the seniors entrusted to their care, while Mario wants to be more flexible. Juan also becomes a ‘sensitive’ issue to the couple as the old man refuses to conform to regulations. To Allana’s utter dismay, Juan is the number one ‘promotor’ (leader) of protest movements within the home.
Standing: Direct Eric Quizon, Vandolph Quizon, Pokwang & Heart
Sitting: Tito Dolphy, Ms. Gloria Romero & Director/Actor Eddie Garcia
To sum it all up, the highlights are the wonderful gags, jokes, and happy moments that are spread throughout the film from start to finish. Viewers are advised to stay until the end credits to see a special bonus feature.
As a way of thanking the public, Dolphy and his co-stars will be giving away items like calendars, T-shirts, posters and facial tissues at the MMFF Parade on December.
Supported by The Filipino Channel (TFC), ABS-CBN, Bench, Samsung, Komeya 3Q, Prostamen the 3 in 1 supplement for men’s health, Cory Quirino World of Wellness, Taichi Liniment, Mang Inasal, and media partners YES FM 101.1 and 90.7 Love Radio.
