Tropical depression named Ondoy.
To be more precise, it’s a month after when Ondoy knocked out the Perlas ng Silangan nation.
Five days before Ondoy hits the land, I and friends had a day trip plan going to Island Cove in Cavite, since the GC’s (Gift Certificate) that we have had is getting ready to expire soon.
Then Saturday came in, the day that we all look forward to. All were set. However, it wasn’t the excitement or the dawn that woke me up, that was Ondoy.
The rain never stopped the whole night. So the first thing I did was to check on my friends situation. The decision was unanimous and we decided not to go after some exchange messages. Ondoy ruined the trip. Sigh.
One day bad trip. Screw you Ondoy!
I never had the chance to meet my friends. It’s been long years since I saw them. The supposed rally trip was a total mess.
I perfectly got pissed the whole day. Why not? I held myself locked up at home but then Mama went out and somehow trapped by floods in Cainta area.
I’m so mad that we (papa & I) weren’t able to get the updates, what was happening around because electricity got cut-off plus the out-of-order telephone. Duh! What’s happening mother earth?
No electricity! No telephone line! No internet connection, obviously! Empty battery for my cellphone! For the second time I’m going to ask this, am I dead or alive?
I know right.
We’re in the state of chaotic days of our lives and yeah it did happened not so long ago. Remember the storm Frank? Can you imagine, we had no electricity for one whole month? But Ondoy is more big time than Frank I tell you.
* Still I kept myself waiting for hours to pass by. I stay calm not to worry about mama’s condition. However, thanks to darkened surroundings as I begun to get immobilize and fast fell off to sleep. Sigh.
God is good. Mama went back home safe and sound the next day. The good thing I should be thankful for. I may not have the softest sleep the other night, but to simply know that my family is completely safe, silently I am relieved. For sure I can have the sweetest sleep everrr!
I know for many it was a battlefield. For those who have lost their homes, important things in life and especially loved ones, my sympathy is with you. I pray for your fast recovery. To those who have volunteered Hello there and God bless you more
I ain’t so sure if I’m capable of being an environmentalist or a public servant, but a little care is what our mother nature wants us to do. The world is facing today’s major dilemma – Global warming.
Reported in news lately, particularly in Pasig area is not really competent building residence near the creek, since it’s supposed to be the WATERWAY!
What’s up DPWH?
One more thing I hate the most is the overrated people who throws junks in no particular place. I really do believe in the saying: “Kung ano ang basurang itinapon mo, siyang babalik sayo.” I also have faith in, “practice what you preach.”
In my littlest way of contribution saving mother nature, I always put into practice to keep undersized trash like candy wrappers, tissues, and the likes in my bag or in my pocket. What I did is what I believed I have taught to do the right thing. Tell me I’m sweet, right?! ^_^
If you are truly concern about keeping our nature protected, there are so many things that you and I, us, can do.
Anyhow, Happy first month Ondoy! Grr! Go away! Don’t you dare come back again, will you not please! tehee…

Aside from his presence in the DoT’s (Department of Tourism) campaign “Byaheng Pinoy with Apl” during the Philippine Tourism press conference, last October 15, 2009 Pinoy pride Apl.de.Ap flew back to his homeland.Party people never stopped from wooing when Apl.de.Ap finally came up and started to rock the stage. Everybody’s grooving once Apl hums “Bebot” – which was a big hit single from Apl.de.Ap himself, dedicated to every Filipina from every corner in the world). In addition, Apl sang Meet Me Half Way – the Black Eyed Peas latest single from the album The E.N.D.
